Alakonnu Ralli: a record 105 riders from seven countries

The fifth Alakonnu Ralli ran on 2–4 October at Kaagjärve manor in southern Estonia. A record 105 riders from seven countries started, including five women.
Alakonnu Ralli is a competition navigated with a roadbook. Riders follow the route by the roadbook's symbols and distances and must check in at set control points. Missing a point, or going too fast on a limited section, adds penalty time.
The programme had three timed stages. On Friday there was an optional prologue and a 44 km night stage that started from Valga's main square. On Saturday there were two long stages: the first of 110 km and then about another 200 km on gravel roads and forest tracks. Eight of the riders were from Sweden.
The best time overall was by Kalev Riivik (KTM 990 Adventure). Argo Neemann (Yamaha Ténéré 700) was second and Elari Talu (KTM 300 EXC) was third.
