On Saturday, 17 October, two crashes in Estonia involved motorcyclists with signs of alcohol. Both riders were taken to hospital.
Around one in the afternoon in Puhja (Elva parish, Tartu County) the alarm centre was called at 12:47. At kilometre 22 of the Tartu–Viljandi–Kilingi-Nõmme road a 33-year-old man with signs of drink was riding a motocross bike, crossed into the oncoming lane, hit the kerb and fell. Postimees reports that the motorcycle was not registered.
At 13:47 a crash was reported in Laagri (Harju County). A 36-year-old man, not sober, left the road on a Honda motorcycle, went onto the grass and fell. He was taken to hospital.
The reports do not say how badly either rider was hurt. From the details, no one else in traffic was injured.
A short note on mopeds from 16 October: in Rakvere at 20:13 a 16-year-old rider of a Derbi Senda hit the side of a Peugeot Partner van that was on the main road and was taken to hospital. On Hiiumaa, in Orjaku, at 18:44 a moped rider lost control and fell, and was also taken to hospital.
