Motocross of Nations: Estonia in 12th place

On 4 October at the Motocross of Nations in Ernée, France, the Estonian team finished twelfth. That is one place higher than a year earlier.
Jörgen-Matias Talviku, Sebastian Leok and Karel Tilk rode for Estonia. Over three races the team scored 109 points. Talviku had the best result of the day: in the first race, shared by the MXGP and MX2 classes, he finished eighth. Leok fell in the first race and was 36th; that result did not count for the team.
After the second race, where Leok was 23rd and Tilk 26th, Estonia moved up to 12th and kept the place to the end. In the last race Talviku was held back by bike problems and a fall, and he finished 23rd. Tilk started 37th and reached the finish 29th.
Belgium won the event, three points ahead of Spain. Latvia finished fourth, the best result in its history.
