A 16-year-old moped rider was hurt in Rakvere

On Friday evening, 16 October, a moped collided with a car in central Rakvere. The 16-year-old moped rider was hurt, Virumaa Teataja reports.

The crash happened at 20:13 at the crossing of Tuleviku street and Rägavere tee. The moped hit a Peugeot that was moving on the main road. The ambulance gave the young rider first aid and took him to hospital.

In autumn it gets dark early, and wet leaves make the road slippery. Moped and motorcycle riders should take extra care at junctions and give way to traffic on the main road. Car drivers should look more carefully for two-wheelers nearby.
