Supercross Tallinn: Mike Alessi, Lucas Duca and Kaarel Tilk replace the injured Kõiv and Leok

The organisers of Supercross Tallinn, on 13 and 14 November, have had to rebuild the start list. The Estonian Motor Sport Federation (EMF) announced it on 21 October, on msport.ee. The last rounds of the motocross season brought injuries for several riders.
Jan Jasper Kõiv and Tanel Leok will not come to Tallinn because of their health. Gert Krestinov has also decided to skip the Tallinn race this year.
Three riders were invited in their place.
Mike Alessi of the United States, 38, is one of the best-known American motocross riders of his generation. In the US he is called Mr. Holeshot for his exceptionally strong starts. In the prestige AMA Pro Motocross championship, in the 450 cc class, he finished second twice, in 2007 and 2012. As an amateur he won 11 national titles, and he took several national championships as a professional too.
Lucas Duca of Brazil is an official rider for Factory Kawasaki Brazil. He has two Brazilian motocross titles in MX2 and three championships in the Brazilian Arenacross series. In 2023 he became Latin American supercross champion and rode rounds of the FIM World Supercross championship (WSX).
Kaarel Tilk represented Estonia this autumn at the Motocross of Nations (MXoN), where the team took a notable 12th place.
In all, 24 athletes from 13 countries will start. The races are in the SX OPEN class, on 250, 350 and 450 cc motorcycles. Between the main motos, pit bikes and the youngest riders, the Särtsukad, will go out on the track. The race director is Andres Krestinov, and the track is built by Jarno Oldenijens of the Netherlands.
As always, there is a show as well: Cool D and DJ Robert Kõrvits will be on stage, and motorcycle stunt riders from Finland will perform. Prizes will be drawn among the spectators, and a motorcycle among those who bought a lottery coupon.
The timetable and the entry list are published on supercross.ee, and tickets are sold through Piletitasku. The day after the races the track opens to anyone who wants to ride: separate passes are sold for the practice day, which we wrote about on 19 October.
