The battery before a long stand

If the bike will sit for weeks, take the battery out or leave a tender on it. A cold garage drains it faster than a warm corner.

Keep the terminals clean. Green crust is a job, not a pattern.

Do not leave a flat battery in the bike for the winter. In spring you pay for the battery and for the morning tow.
